Discussion

The questions in this section use the dynamics of live conversation to draw participants into reflection and creation, shared thinking and inspiration. They offer a way to step outside familiar frameworks and social roles, so that beyond our accumulated experience we can grasp something new.
Intended effect:
getting to know one another, sparking a lively and enriching discussion, thinking together and finding inspiration.
These questions work well for gatherings with friends, evenings together as a couple, mastermind groups, forums or group meetings in an atmosphere of trust. It is important to go beyond simply listening to answers: join in the discussion.
Think of it as an open-source game. Ask yourself: what do I really think? What do I consciously want to include in my view of the world, and what is long overdue for removal? Am I hearing the person in front of me, or merely confirming my own thoughts? Am I interpreting what is said through familiar, comfortable models? Am I willing to truly hear another point of view, try it on for size and let new ideas enrich me? Can I see the person as they are, rather than through an image that suits me?
